Happy Fall Y'all

This year we found the most amazing pumpkin. We drove by a little road side stand almost daily and watched as their pumpkins came and went. Once they put up that half price sign we were ready to buy. They had big ones, I mean really big ones, tall ones, Cinderella style, every style you can imagine. Hannah picked this one out. I thought it was beautiful. The colors, the shape, the stalk. I think it personified what a Halloween pumpkin should be.

Last year we were a little over ambitious and tried to carve a wolf howling at the moon. Pieces broke off it was a mess. This year Matt designed a good ole Jack with a nice big smile.

Isn't he cute.

The ward had a Trunk or Treat on Wednesday. After rain most of the day, the evening was cool but dry. We had such a great turn out we used up all of our candy and had to restock for Saturday night.

We missed our traditional evening with friends at the McKinney's, but we do have a pretty amazing neighborhood for Trick or Treating and it is always funner to go with friends. We tried another batch of caramel apples and they were good enough to share.
