Chad and Elizabeth Visit

A few weeks ago we were blessed by a visit with Chad and Elizabeth.  We looked forward to their visit for months and as tends to happen, it seemed to be over in a blink of an eye.  I always have a tendency to get sad about half way through a visit whether we are visiting somewhere or have someone visiting us. I have to really work at it to keep myself in the moment and find the joy that is there.  I am learning not to miss out on the present by dwelling on what's to come.

We had a great, fairly uneventful visit.  Unfortunately Hannah had the state testing while they were here and couldn't miss any school.  We tried not to have too much fun while she was in school.  We did find time to visit a few museums, the Strip District, google, bowl, shop and eat.

It was great to see how wonderful Chad and Elizabeth are together.  A parent's dream come true.  In case you didn't know, we love Chad!  He is such a doer.  He even helped Hannah put her new bed together. (Hannah had made a deal with her dad and earned half of the money for her bed.)
