The fourth Monday of the month is usually the night we have the missionaries to dinner. We love to have the missionaries over and I think they like coming over. Matt never ceases to amaze and no one can possibly go away hungry. We usually have the missionaries from the three wards that make up their district for a total of eight missionaries. It gives us an opportunity to actually eat at the table in the dining room. It's a bit lonely when just the three of us eat there. It gets a bit cozy, but we love it that way.
The last time we had the missionaries over Matt got the turkey frier out and he made just under 200 chicken wings and 8 pounds of french fries. The time before he made about 125 or so and by the time he made it to the table there were about five left. This time he started a bit earlier and actually made it to the table before everyone was done eating. We also put a few in the oven for later. They were mighty tasty.
Pie and ice cream for dessert. I should have realized there was a reason you should bake the pies on a cookie sheet to bake. I almost dropped one getting it out of the oven when the pie pan folded in my hands. It still tasted good.
